Museum of Social Justice Construction and Exhibition Updates
On Thursday June 27, 2013 the physical transformation of the basement of La Plaza United Methodist Church into the Museum of Social Justice began. The first phase of the construction has started with the installation of the gallery walls. In the spirit of the work started by the founders of La Plaza over 100 hundred years ago, we are creating a museum that we expect to be functional well into the next century. The walls are perhaps the most underrated component of any museum or gallery but are the backbone of most exhibitions. Please share in the experience of seeing this great museum come to fruition through our photographs and updates.
Over the Labor Day weekend our dedicated board members, church members, volunteers, friends and family rolled up their sleeves and began putting the finishing touches on the inaugural exhibition for the Museum of Social Justice. Everyone has worked very hard to bring this exhibition to fruition. Please enjoy watching the ongoing evolution of the Museum of Social Justice.
